The ground the campuses stand on
Intramuros is the Spanish walled city and it was almost entirely destroyed in 1945, with enormous civilian loss of life. The schools clustered in and around it — Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Mapúa, Lyceum of the Philippines — occupy or adjoin that ground.
That history is documented, and it is the reason campus stories here carry more weight than ordinary school ghost stories. The buildings are new; the site is not.

The accounts follow a consistent pattern: footsteps in hallways during late review sessions, someone seated behind you in an empty room, stairwells that sound occupied. They circulate between year levels and get attached to specific floors and specific rooms.
